Baldonnel Aerodrome, Department of Defence

SKS supplied, installed and commissioned a complete Turnkey solution in Baldonnel Aerodrome on behalf of the Department of Defense which includes CCTV cameras, digital recording solution, real-time matrix control & salvo switching, fibre optic transmission network, CCTV poles & mounting assemblies and video analytic detection system.

There are 32 cameras operating in the Airbase and these include both high performance low light PTZ cameras and high performance low light static cameras. The complete system communicates over a Gigabit fibre optic network which was also installed by SKS.

Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) operates on many of the cameras and it is used to automatically detect loitering, parking in restricted areas and removed objects. The use of IVA greatly enhances the ability of system users to effectively monitor the Airbase.

The recording, management and control room monitoring systems were recently upgraded to include a fully scalable IP Video Management System (VMS). The VMS operates a new virtual matrix control system within the Airbase which is controlled from multiple client workstation locations. Workstations are operated using purpose PTZ controllers, PC mouse and Touchscreen applications providing intuitive control to system users.

The CCTV poles and associated civil works were also completed by SKS as part of the project.
