PPP Project for the Courts Service
The Criminal Courts of Justice Complex was commissioned by the Courts Service to provide a single central location forDublin District Court, Dublin Circuit Court, Central Criminal Court, Special Criminal Court and Court of Criminal Appeal at a cost of €140m this is being a PPP (Public Private Partnership) investment project for the Irish Government and was delivered three months ahead of schedule.
As this was a PPP build SKS design all systems supplied including Sound Reinforcement, Voice Alarm Public Address and Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems. All systems were commissioning by SKS we also provide preventative maintenance and support for the systems installed.
The project comprised of a distributed VA (Voice Alarm) life safety system, 22 Courtrooms Sound Reinforcement Systems with more than1,000 monitored loudspeakers distributed throughout the building and 300 microphones within the courtrooms powered by 192 amplifier channels linked over a dedicated fibre optic network. Induction Loop and Infra-Red technologyfor the deaf and hard of hearing along with their associated control equipment and interfaces to third party systems in this building including provision of digital audio recording signals for the court case recordings.
