Dublin City Council Conference and Voting System
SKS installed and commissioned a new conference and voting system for Dublin City Council in the Council Chamber in City Hall. This system replaced an existing system and the delegate were custom made to fit into existing cut outs.
Another bespoke element of the system is that the units are handed i.e. half are left handed and half are right handed. This ensures that when a councillor addresses the Lord Mayor / top table they are always facing the microphone.
The system is integrated with a video presentation system to display voting result locally and remotely. The Council meetings are webcast and there is automatic camera control included. The cameras are controlled by the conference system to automatically zoom in on the active microphone position.
The system incorporates an Infra-Red system for the provision of simultaneous interpretationand an induction loop to provide accessibility for the deaf and hard of hearing.
